Event Rules

Anyone can participate as time allows -- no strings attached! This is mostly just about having a good time. ​​

Walk-ups are welcome, but pre-registering is recommended for reasons stated below

All performers will receive:
-
proof of their performance via an exclusive event participant t-shirt*
-
a gift card as thanks for playing
-
$100 if you preregister
-
$50 if you walk up day-of

entry into a bonus drawing for an extra gift card at the end of the event

$500, $250 and $100
-
must be present to win
-

Duets & groups are okay!

Still one gift card, but each participant will receive a t-shirt*

One song per person (including participating in a duet)**

This is NOT a competition. You don't have to be a "trained" singer and you don't even have to be "good" (it wouldn't be karaoke if you were!) You just have to have fun :)
Song Selection

All song genres welcome

Song selections must be under 5 minutes
-
Songs must be available publicly online and 'castable' on youtube without requiring accounts or signing in

To best pick your song:
-
Figure out the song you want to do
-
Google for "karaoke <song title> <artist>" and select the 'videos' tab
-
Listen to various provider versions of your song and find the one you like best
-
i.e. KaraFun, PartyTyme, SingKing, Zoom, etc.

Note the version and practice, practice practice! Or don't :)

A song/title may only be sung once -- so if someone else beats you to your first choice, have a second option ready to go!

To help ensure you get the song you want, register ahead of time by shooting us an email at info@nbpkaraoke.com -- that way we'll reserve it for you! We'll respond within 24 hours to confirm your registration (feel free to hound us if you don't hear back!) Include:

your name
-
the link to your preferred karaoke version of the song

your preference on shirt size

M/L/XL

While we reserve the right, we likely won't restrict anything. Just keep in mind that it is sort of a work environment, so try to use good judgment on what's appropriate
Pre-Registration
Although walk-ups are welcome,
pre-registering does provide some benefits:

It reserves your song selection before anybody else claims it!
-
It doubles your gift card prize! ($100 vs $50 gift card)!

It doubles your entry into the bonus gift card drawing (entered 2x)!
-
It prioritizes your preferred shirt size!

It helps us plan as best we can to make sure we give as many participants a chance as possible.
